Well what can I say.

A great book, really three books in one, tales from the old days of european karate including many now legendry names, from beginnings as one of the early karate kids to working the doors at a time when you were allowed to do the job, training with the masters on their home soil to a wonderful career in high level security (I'm sure we would all happily suffer the pain of jogging around with miss world), developing the first commercial training programmes for others in the industry and back to the doors.

Stories of Terry O'Niel, Gary Spiers and indeed Tommy Mac are all books in their own right, this book will appeal to anyone interested in the martial arts, personal security and to any general public that just like a damn good read with a few laughs along the way.

"Working with warriors" is one of those books that you will read once and then go back to time and time again, a classic.

Alan

And now available from <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Working-Warriors-Dennis-Martin/dp/1903854792/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1226172877&sr=1-1" rel="nofollow">Amazon</a>

This is an excellent article that we got from Dave McCutcheon, Dave is ardent combatives trainer and researcher of world war two material.

Dave runs the Edinburgh "Guttrer fighters" and we highly recommend him as an instructor.

Hi Dave

I cant recommend these books highly enough, Barry really does know his stuff.

The books go in the order that I posted the reviews and are best read that way, here is the list in order.

<strong>Rain fall
Blood from blood
Choke point
One last kill
The last assassin
Requiem for an assassin.</strong>

Be aware that there are other titles for these books in the US, I have listed the UK titles.

Dave the first one took me a chapter or two to get into but after that I was hooked, from "Blood from blood" onward the back of the book contains maps of all the locations mentioned in the book, notes on the martial arts used, tips on survielance and counter surveilance etc, I have truly never read such well researched novels.

First class.

Take care buddy
